October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a topic that is near to the heart of Miss Black America 2017 Brittany Lewis. The Temple University alumna and New Jersey native lost her sister to domestic violence seven years ago. Tribune digital editor Nicki Mayo spoke with Lewis about her efforts to combat domestic violence in the African-American community.
