The Fellowship: Black Male Educators for Social Justice are ready to rally in front of nearly a dozen Philadelphia schools to welcome students. The September 5, 2017 “Suit up. Show Up.” initiative calls for African American men to head to these schools and cheer on the students as they enter the buildings for the first day. The Fellowship’s Sharif El-Mekki talks with The Philadelphia Tribune about the importance of getting students started on their first day, the right way.
